The Butte Schools Self-Funded Programs JPA promotes healthy lifestyles.   Our fall and spring health screenings provide information to assess your risk of heart disease, colon and prostate cancer as well as your wellness in general.  Health screenings include ... 

• Height and weight· 
• Blood pressure and pulse
• Body density / fat %
• Complete metabolic, lipid and hemogram blood panel
• Colon cancer (stool occult) test
• Prostate cancer test
• All results are confidential (information is not provided to your supervisor or your district)

Health screenings are free to BSSP medical plan members and their dependents.  A prostate cancer test is included at no charge for men age 50 and over and is also available for men under age 50 for $26.  Non-members may participate at a cost of $55 for the screening, $10 for the colon cancer test and $26 for the prostate cancer test.

Saturday, February 26, 2011 - Enloe's Community Health Fair:  "You Can Do It!"

10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Chico Mall, 1950 E. 20th St., Chico. Health assessments, activities for all ages, information, healthy food recipes and samples. Opportunity to interact with representatives of the Enloe Heart Program, Stroke Program, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Rehabilitation Center, Children’s Health Center, Nutrition Services, Cardio-Pulmonary Rehab and many others. Free and open to everyone. The theme of this year's fair is "You Can Do It!"
