Mesa Vista School and Satellite Special Education Programs
Birth through 22 years of age. Apprx. 960 students
The mission of Mesa Vista and the satellite classrooms that
serve students with IEP’s and IFSP’s is to provide the
opportunity for all students to reach their maximum potential,
enabling them to function independently as adults in the least
restrictive environment. Students are referred to the programs
by their school district of residence. The programs serve
students with a variety of disabilities and ages. The Early
Start program serves students age birth through three in the
home and classroom environment. The school age programs include
the Day Treatment Program for students with emotional
disturbances, the Deaf and Hard of Hearing program and the
Severely Handicapped program. Also provided for all programs are
Designated Instructional services including Adapted PE, Speech,
Services for the Visually Impaired, services for the
Orthopedically impaired, Curriculum and Technology services and
Occupational Therapy.
